Can a.o grant tds credit not credited in 26as

Dear Sir

           I have a assess who fill the ITR return online for assessment year 2009-10 for respective assessment year employe of the assess duducted TDS from salary .

           But same sholud not appiare in 26AS. my client recived Demand notice from IT Department . if an assesse have original certificate of form no 16. on which TDS are showing.

          So, what to do in the case.
