Campus recruiter bias?

Hey guys.

A quick question for those of you, who have sat for the Campus or have a fair idea about it's mechanism.

Do recruiters tend to be biased towards candidates who have done their Articleship from Big4, or other fairly large firms? Well, while I am aware that it can't exactly be called bias, as it's only normal for them to favor students from the Big4/other larger firms.

However, to what degree do they favor students from the Big4/other large firms as against other students from mid-sized firms(say firms from Tier-II cities with 3-4 partners)? Does it have that big an impact, or does it just tilt the balance a little in the earlier's favor?

I've heard from a couple of guys that a few Companies(like HUL & ITC) attending the Campus only focus on candidates who've completed their articleship from such large firms. How true is it?

Thank you for your valuable input, in advance.

Cheers,
Sam

it doesn't matter... if you qualify you can always work in a big 4 or bigger CA firms for a year or two and then apply for such big companies like HUL , ITC etc.. Don worry about that now. concentrate on your studies first.. everything else wil follow suit. All the Best.. God Bless.
