CA or JAO

I am CA & CS final student.I have been selected for Junior Accounts officer(JAO) in BSNL.The eligibility for that post was CA/CS/CWA/MCOM. My CA final attempt is too far.and More than half period of articleship is pending .I am 29 as I joined the course very late due to some financial reasons.But I am MCOM. Plz suggest what to do. Join the Govt Job while leaving CA or leaving the job and Continue CA.The pay scale of the job is 20,500 pm excluding HRA ,Perks,Medical,Ltc etc.

If anyone is having any idea then Plzzz tell me how much starting salary (gross salary in hand ) will be.The IDA pay scale is 20500-40500. Thanks

If you do not want to spoil your career and life, do not join BSNL, rather any Govt. job. If you are so desperate to join service, join any CA firm, even

If you are so desperate to join service, then it would be better for you to join any good CA firm, even for half the salary than what you are getting now. But do not leave CA final. Once you join any govt job, you will be out of touch, lethargic and would never be abel to complete your CA. All the best.,

Hi Rebel, its hurting but u know ur age is now 29 and ur remaining articleship 1 to 1-1/2 years but still not confirm to be a CA. If u got a Govt. job with 3 lac p.a. package then join JAO as per my opinion.

join the job...these days CAs dont get even that much whatever the boasts of the icai! some even work for salaries below it...so go for it...have commonsense...best of luck....

I would suggest join the job and complete CA as well

Only double efforts will be needed.

hi.I m Pooja.I hav completed Ca as well as M.com.2010 ,2009 respectively.I hav also got selected in JAo exam.I m also joining BSNL. I want to tell u one thing,u hav got very gud opportunity. dont leave this .dont think u wl get less than what u expect. u wl get lot of chance ther to ge higher post and salary.i know lots of people who r cas and joining this they all are saying this is best opportunity.dont think that u wl become lethargic even u wl learn lots of things there. u wl get gud pay also. and after every 3 years u wl get promotion there.I can suggest u only. final decision depends upon u.

1st of congrats to both of u !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am also selected for the post of jao. I hv completed M.com in2006 & cleared ca final gr 1 in last nov,09.

As far as I am concerned,.......... i think its a great oppurtunity to join psu at fresher level & the starting net pay would be roughly aroud 30k pm.
