I had cleared my CA Intermediate in Nov 1994. After that I appeared for Final only twice,the lastest being in Nov 2007.Now I have taken up studies seriously and am planning to appear for the Finals in Nov 2010. Can anybody tell me whether I should go for new registration? Also please tell me whether my old registration no is changed?. My old registration no is MM 37833. If so,what is the procedure for getting new registration no?

u can appear for ca final old scheme u have to call instiute and ask your new registration number and if u have completed your articles also the certificate of completion is to be filed with the exam application form which the institute gives.nov 2010 is the last attempt for ca final old scheme.you better attend crash courses along with your self preperation as it will be very helpful to know the changes taken place which will be held before 1 month of the exams.

Ramesh, it is wonderful that u have decided to go for the CA finals(1) Now if u have good grip on the subjects covered under Old/Existing Syll. than it is worthy to go with the Old syll. as u have still one attempt upto Nov. 2010 and the u have to go for the new syll. compulsorily. (2) ur old registration no. has got changed for this u have to simply contact the Regional Office of the Institute and thats it because u have to quote this new Unique Registration No. while filling the Exams form for Nov. 2010. So, BEST OF ALL LUCK !

I appreciate your decision to appear in exam.after a long gap.New registration no. will be provided by regional office,devote 3-4 hours daily regularly you will succeed.
