CA Final - Conversion from Old to new

Dear All

I have great confusion regarding the procedure for conversion from old to new course - Final.
On 27th January,2011 I received a reply from 39893989 - Board of Studies that there is no procedure for the conversion and a student is required to pay 1100 only if he needs Study Material.
On the same day I visited the Institute at Cuffe Parade, I was informed that there is a separate form for the same & 1100 is mandatory whether I wish to buy the study material or not.
Please help ..Hence, kindly provide the clarity on the following issues:
1.What is the time limit for the conversion from Old to New Course?
2.What are the consequences of not complying within the time limit?
3.Is any intimation required to be sent to the Institute?
4.If yes,Is the Separate Form required to be submitted or the a letter will suffice?
5.Is DD of Rs. 1100 is mandatory?
6.What is the Fee Amount, if a student has cleared a Single group in the Old Course?
7.Will the Institute give a New registration Number after conversion?
