You might be surprised by reading the title, but what you read is completely true. The pass percentage of CA is 35.37% as per recently declared result of CPT & Final. Here's how:

Students who passed CPT: 31,878

So, this means 31.878 students entred into our course.

Now, we shall calculate those, who became CA this time with the help of Final results.

Students who passed 1st group (both old & new): 9,911

who passed 2nd group (old & new): 7,034

Total students, who passed any one group: 16,945

Now, I am going to ASSUME that half of these have become CA this time, i.e. 8,472

Add to this, students who passed both groups (2,802). So, we have an approximate figure of students who became CA: 11,274

Now, that we have calculated approximate number of those, who have become CA and we also know those who passed CPT, we can figure out of an approximate, that how many students, who pass CPT eventully become CA, i.e.

11,274 / 31,878 = 35.37%

This analysis, which comes to conclusion that 35.37% of those who pass CPT eventully become CA, is based on an assumption as stated above. Your responses are awaited.

35.37% looks very good, considering that we normally hear 3 or 9%. To add to this, 35.37% is even more heartening considering that, as we all know, many students leave the course after CPT or (I)PCC.

nice..but only 1 thing..the no. of entrants has increased significantly since the introduction of CPT...vis a vis the erstwhile PE-1

yes, thats true as well.. for that, we have to take Final of 4-5 years later or CPT (PE-1) of 4-5 years ago. But, i still think that this makes sense. Isn't it so??

yes...true

Ya bt u have to consider d time duration also...as to get passed out in remaining 1 group takes 2 to 3 attempts..........so rate should b calculated accordingly,is'nt it??

well, thats true....but we have taken only those students, who have passed. so, i think that factor is automatically included in it. Plz tell me, if i m wrong..

naive!!!.  pls start using brain dude....

u totally dont understand the concept.

Just for example...

If 1lac students enrolled in CPT

then 32K passed

that mean 32 % result at first hurdle.

Then in PE2 (IPCC)

out of the 32 K students

Maximum 15 to 20% pass (In one attemp or at max second)

Thats 7 to 8 K

Out of thos 7 to 8 K students

10% passed both group

and maybe on avg 15% passed  giving grps seperately

thatt works out to be 2000 students

To be accurate over time period and  not combining result of so many batches that clear at once

effectively only 2000 students became CA out of 1Lac

thats just 2% result...

u mixed up so many batches of CA final all together... no. of CA students giving final gets accumulated  over a time being (ie 3 to 4  years). but CPT happens in present.. so very few make out in reasonable time period..

bro, i m talking abt success rate of CA, that means how many becomes CA from those who pass CPT...i m not at anywhere talking abt time period or no. of attempts.

intresting thought but i do agree with ankit
