Ca as a career

Hello,

I am Ishaan, Bcom 2nd year student.I am thinking to do chartered accountant as a career option. And I have a serious doubt.

I dont want to get involved legally very much, since i do not have any idea about work nature of a chartered accountant.Although I have went through ca career prospectus provided by icai but somethings are still not clear to me.I know that everyone is responsible for their actions in a way.

Do chartered accountants deal with only legal elements? Can someone be a chartered accountant and not involved in legal work?
Can I know how one's chartered accountant pratice differs from another? How is it possible for a chartered accountant not to get involved in anything legal while still praticising the profession ?

Thank you,

Ishaan

You want a risk free life, but at the mean time enjoy the pie too,  is that ever possible? Risk and rewards as part and parcel of life. If you wish to insulate yourself from legal repurcussions, then this is not your cup of tea. Look life a different approach and you are bound to excel.

It is like saying, you want to become a surgeon but do not want to operate the patient. You need to first of all understand, to become a good professional you should know the nuances of law and also defend your clients based on your advice. You should put yourself as a prosecutor and defendant to win a case, i.e., you must know how to shape your career by understanding the nitty gritties. You need to change your thinking / approach and live in reality. Good luck for what ever decision you take, but I hope something of my writing aids you in knowing what is difference in theoretical and practical life.

Thank you Sathish Sir.I really like this writing aid.It will certainly help me my decision making process.Thank you.
