how much percentage is acceptable under income tax to wards making expenditure for business promotion of a company.

There is no such limit for which it allowed. Whether any expenditure is allowed or not depends upon case to case and circumstances. The Genuinity of the transaction is looked into while allowing any expenditure and not the quantum of expenditure.
