DT: Girish Ahuja Module(13 set Notes Moule) is good

m doing dt from v.k.singhania. n found it god..

In my opinion, the best books for self study are :

DT - Paduka

IDT - Bangar

DT- Vinod Kr. Singhania

IDT - VS Datey/ Vandana Banhgar (but I found VS Datey good)

For Direct Taxes self study, modules of Vinod Gupta are Best....it provides good explanation for understanding of topics....and for IDT Book of Bangar sir is good...

DT-T N Manoharan

IDT-Bangar

My personal experience withe the followings have been very good:

Direct Tax:TN Manoharan(Recommended by ICAI)+Summary module only by Vinod Gupta Sir

IDT:In the order of preference..

1.NS Govindan(Recommended by ICAI)

2.Mr.Vaitheesaran(Recommended by ICAI)

Follow Vinod Gupta sir's book only if you are very much excited about gaining some deep insight into the subject and u have atleast a year of time in hand.But TNM Sir's book is enough for exam.
