Automatic Appointment of Directors

Am i correct in the following interpretation -

There can never be any automatic Appointment of directors under section 152(7)(b)(iv) which says that where a resolution, whether special or ordinary, is required for his appointment or re-appointment by virtue of any provisions of this Act; the retiring director shall not be reappointed. And Section 152(6)(e) requires resolution to be passed for reappoitment thereby attracting 152(7)(b)(iv) in every case.
