look buddy, ICAI has drastically improved its study material and practice manual, its very easy to understand but at the same time its very lenthy.......... so if time is not a constraint then go with practice manual and look into study material if you face any problem otherwise if you want to study from private author, go with KAMAL GARG..... his book is good .You can go through his  lecture on professional ethics on icai lms by opening an account free of cost there.... if you want the link i can send it here itself

auditing, in the recent exams are very tough to crack, so prepare well is the only solution... need to write in a language so close to that in icai material will have more chances in scoring.. from that point of view it is always better to follow icai supplies... find the topics that are almost sure like ethics and study from icai material and refer short note guides for other least chance topics..all the best

heii dear,.. will suggest you to go tru practice manual of ICAI, you will get the idea about what ICAI wants in answer... Alway try to quote relevant AS, AAS, CARO Section, in answer... Best Luck for STudy...
