Hey don't panic.
You just go through the entire curriculam of Audit thoroughly, and try to memorise the essence.
You can use mnemonics for memory techniques, it works very influentially.
The reason why you're awarded low marks could lie in the above tips.
Also I wanna share one thing with you is that being the quintessential subject(Audit) in CA syllabi, the examiners want you to be an absolute expert in Auditing, so they are instructed to examine the answers quite carefully.
Follow these if you believe I assure it will help.
You'll really crack it this time.
Good Luck

i think Mr. CA Akhil Mittal is right...... you need to focus more on presentation...
Try underlining all headings/ sub-headings/ important points in your answers..... n try breaking down your answers into different paragraphs (introductory/ body/ conclusion/suggestion etc)......
i'm sure if you improve your presentation you'll get good passing marks :) :)
hummm thx aksh*ta...m amazed that evn at final level presntation is sooooo important...
Parth presentation covers ur most of the marks.......wrk on ur handwriting...........

CA Final : Audit - Things that matter while writing exam
as far as i am concerned, firstly u have to improve ur way of presentation. Secondly, just try to write the answers practically if u are in CA Final bcoz that will improve ur image in eyes of the examiner. In audit u dont have to learn just try this what i am doing.
Firstly learn the Professional Ethics from CA Surbhi Bansal's Book and then practise it from the Compiler.
Secondly, you should prepare the CARO and AS and practise questions on it from Compiler.
By doing this u will get 40-50 marks guaranteed.
Then prepare the remaining topics just by practically learning it.
U will be amazed to know that i have given 3 attempts and i have never failed in audit.
ALL the BEST
If your handwriting is not so good, write one page daily for about a month and then you can see it improving. I had the worst handwriting until i practised improving it conciously. Now if i see my old notes/writings, even I cannot understand what I wrote. It was such worse.
My teacher had given me a simple technique -
1. Dont attempt cursive writing/joining letters if you are not comfortable with that. If it comes naturally then its fine. In my case it became partly joined letters and partly not joined.
2. When you write, ensure that the small letters should be about half the size of big letters. (I am not just talking about capital and small letters) - E.g when you write "Retail" - See how "e", "a" are almost half the size of "R" "t" "l". Practising this way really improved my handwriting.
3. Keep the letters straight to the extent possible. Dont attempt itialics.
You still have about three months to go for exams and sparing fifteen mins for writing would really be helpful to you.
As far as books are concerned, did you read from the Institute's Material? Study Material for subject like auditing is a must.
