Dear Friend,

The Institute module is itself copied word to word from different sources like ICAEW, etc. (search on the web and you will find word to word matching)

How can you expect the Institute to make a perfect Practice Manual.

In my opinion the practice manual is ridiculous. A lot of questions are from old syllabus.

Only ch. 10. some case studies are not in Text book. Rest every thing else is word to word copied from the text book. Only the cover is attractive rest every thing is the same. They could have at least modified the answers to questions in practice manual but who will take the efforts to do it? 

The text book language is also very complicated and full of jargons which are not simplified. Even spelling mistakes are in plenty. What can we expect from ICAI about presentation of the Text !!!

How can the ordinary student refer such books? 

In my opinion dont even handle the Practice manual of ISCA !

Study from the Text book and hope for 50+ (which is quite possible)

I TOO OBSERVED THEM, AT EACH AND EVERY TOPIC THEY GAVE ANSWERS FROM SYLLABUS OF BEFORE REVISION, EVEN THERE ARE REDUNDANCY IN ANSWERS.

DEAR FRIENDS, I ADVISE U ALL DON'T PREPARE PRACTICE MANUAL FOR ISCA, AS THEY SHOWS US OLD SYLLABUS.

ONLY TOPICS INDEX IS CHANGED WITH NEW REVISED SYLLABUS............BUT NOT INNER CONTENT.

THIS IS WORST ON THE PART OF ICAI (ISCA DEPT). FOR SAYING THAT PRACTICE MANUALS OF REVISED SYLLABUS AS ON JAN 2011.

Revisions in Chapter 8 not done properly - refer above files of Manish Valechha ISCA  .. it explain full concept of ISO 27001...

In old chapter 8 BS7799 part 1 & 2 both were covered .. now institute has replaced BS7799 with ISO 27001 ..

What abt BS 7799 another part ie. ISO 27002.. full text is given about ISO 27002 (ie. BS7799 part 1) in the same heading of ISO 27001 that is wrong … Since the detail is same .. most teachers r saying that there is no change in chapter 8, that is also wrong ! ..

Institute has referred this term (ISO 27002) while making comparison b,ween

The new modules updated on ICAI site are atleast up to date????? and can v consider them as last resort and base for d exam???

Coz  i dnt have ISO 27002.. whr shd i get it from??

So which answer are we supposed to write? For eg: if conversion strategies are asked, what answer should be presented??!

 answer as given in module (updated)  not as per practice mannual
