buddy m gng to write may'11.. and i covered all subjects except a/cs so far.. my AS is good but lack of practice in FRS.. so plz tell me  what to do to get aleast 50 in accounts... is it possible with AS only and some small chapters like VAS etc.

I cleared my exams in Nov-10 and I got exemption in accounts . I would say that you can expect to get 50 marks and more by doing the following topics thoroughly :_

1.HOLDING COMPANY A/cs    

2.AMALGAMATION,ABSORPTION & RECONSTRUCTION

3.GOODWILL 

4.V.A.S, SHARE BASED PAYMENTS, Accng for Fin. Instruments( From Module)   

If u have less time then I suggest to do atleast 1,2,3 topics fully from the suggested for the past 15 years . U will get an idea of the level of difficulty expected by going through it .           

ALL THE BEST ..... and remember Accounts is the paper with the best chance

 to get the exemption and to clear the first group .So try to get maximum marks in that .

Hew has done a great job. The book explains concepts the best of all.

plus questions regarding previous exams are solved in the end to get the edge on numerical questions.

Dont prepare without it.

Comparatively, DS Rawat seems to finish it off very quickly.

DS RAWAT is a better book if time is a constraint.
