i am ipcc student pursuing my articleship in small firm. i am in 1st year my aricleship. i wanted to get transfer of my articleship as my parents are shifting. however my principle is not allowing me to get transfer from him by saying that he dont have any supplimentry staff. as transfer of articleship is allowed in 1st year without any restriction pls guide me on above case.

Your principal cannot hold you to his firm as article. In first year, anyone can take transfer from CA firm to another firm.
Your case is that of relocation, so even if you were in the second year, you could still take the transfer.
So let him know - Sir, it will be difficult for me to stay for valid reasons which are even recognized by the institute. Anyway, 1st year article can take the transfer."
And not having supplementary staff with the firm is not your problem. He has to find someone else for his profession. Stay strong and all the best.

What is RTI ??
There is no relevenace of RTI here....You can request the principal and make him understand your situation which is I know very difficult but you should try
First year articleship can be transfer try to conveyance..All the best
