can any one give me answer of this question because it is urgent problem as under
Machine hire paid Rs. 198816/- by a company on 09.06.2010 as advance while machine was used for the period from 20.06.2010 to 04.07.2010 detail as under
Machine hire Rs, 175000/- +packing Rs. 5250= 180250 and Service Tax 18566/- total is 198816/- tell me urget what is the rate of TDS on above case

TDS will be deducted @ 2% only for hire charges inclusive of Service Tax..........
Only in case of Rent on House Property Service Tax is not included for calculation of TDS ........

It is nowhere specified in circular that Only in case of Rent on House Property Service Tax is not to be included for calculation of TDS ........
Clarification is for section 194I in whole also includes hire charges of machinery.

YES AGREE WITH ANKSS. TDS HAVE TO BE DEDUCT EXCLUSIVE OF SERVICE TAX.
