how we deduct standard deduction from salary?

Simply reduce it from gross salary. if salary is 10 lakhs. Net salary after SD is 9.60 lakhs.

standard deduction of Rs 40,000/- from AY 2019-20 under the head income from Salary

Yes,Standard Deduction is deduct from Gross salary,Standard deduction 40,000/-

standard deduction is 40,000 or income from salary whichever is low
