about Ex gracia
one of my client after retirement in SBI got the gratuity of RS.10,00,000 and the exgracia of RS.11,97,000 and the TDS for exagracia u/s 192. weather the exracia is fully taxable or any other kind of calculation. can anybody explain me.

Ex gratia is taxable in the hands of employee as Salary Income.
