A test for your iq! try this!!!

Its a question relating to cricket.

Both the batsmen are on 94 not out.

Eight wickets have fallen and they need 7 runs from 3 balls.

Both the batsmen ended up scoring 100 and both remained not out (also they have won the match).

How is it possible?

I mean what has happened in these 3 deliveries?

Note: there are two answers for this question.

Try and test your IQ levels.

Gud luk!!!

1st ball 6 to batter nd he reaches his 100..2nd ball bye/leg bye..3rd ball another 6 frm second batter.. Acc.to me ..

@ neeraj kumar

according to ur answer match gets over in two balls and scores of 2 batsmen will be following

1st batsmen - 100

2nd batsmen - 94

leg bye or byes- 1run

so i think this one is not  so easy wink

First batsman hits the ball for three runs, and fielder throws the ball which goes to the boundary as overthrows. Umpire calls one run short. So two runs run by batsmen and four overthrows, sosix runs one century completed. Also, as the batsmen ran three runs, the other guy will be on strike for the next ball. He hits six and match is won and both get their 100s

In ths case u have to think expections

1st ball batsman1 hits the ball and it strikes to the halmet
which i beside wicket keeper and the batsman get 5 runs as
penalty by the fielding team

2nd ball they run 1
nw batsman 1 have a century
3rd ball batsman 2 will hit a six...

according to me,

1st ball - 1st batsmen hits the ball . fielder of opposite team deliberately pushes the ball to the boundary so 5 runs will be awarded to first batsmen .

note; there is a rule in a cricket that if fielder of opp team pushes the ball intentionally to the boundary, five marks will be awarded and it will be awarded to the batsmen who hits the ball, else it will be awarded to the team

2nd ball- 1st  batsmen will be on 99 before facing this ball. He hits single in this ball. yipee 1st batsmen scored 100.

now 1 run is required to win from one ball and 2nd batsmen have the strike

3rd ball -  2nd batsmen scores 6 runs and he scores 100 and team crosses the target.

conclusion -

1st batsmen - 100 runs not out

2nd batsmen-100 runs not out

team score - required target + 5 runs extra

please tell me the correct answer bro. i have just tried. waiting for the reply bro

my answer and 2nd answer of deepak sir is similar

@ deepak sir

in ur first answer sir

no doubt that the 1st batsmen scores 6 runs in 1st ball.

but i think he will only retain strike. and 2nd batsmen will not get strike . sir i think stike is according to runs scored and not according to no of times the batsmen runs.

sir do let me  know if i am correct

Just thought I'd correct some of the other suggestions

@ Mr. Deepak:

If the ball hits a helmet on the field, the batting side is awarded five penalty runs which would be added to the scorecard as Extras and not the batsman's score.

@ Milind:

You said,

1st ball - 1st batsmen hits the ball . fielder of opposite team deliberately pushes the ball to the boundary so 5 runs will be awarded to first batsmen

then in this case the other batsman will come into strike for facing the second ball!

I guess, this is one of the two correct answer!

I'm unable to figure out the other!!!

@ go green

dear bro my query lies on the yelow  colour underlined line

according to u when 5 runs are scored, strike will go to next batsmen similarly when 6 runs are scored,

hw will 2nd batsmen get the strike??  strike will be retained by first batsmen only. isnt it???

Gud 1

Scenario 1:

Ball 1: Batsman A hits a six and acknowledges the cheers for his century, but while hitting the shot develops a cramp and gets retired hurt.

Ball 2: New batsmen arrives at the crease, tries to steal a single but gets run out at non striker's end. As wicket no 9 goes down, the retired batsman (Batsman A) comes to the crease and stays at non striker end.

Ball 3 : Batsman B, now at the striker's end, hits another six and acknowledges the cheers for his century.

The team wins and both end up scoring 100.

Scenario 2:

Opposite of the above, Batsmen B  faces the first ball and Batsman A faces the last. cheeky

Scenario 3:

Ball 1: Batsman A runs 3 and the fielder overthrows for boundary. But the umpire cancels 1 run for batsman running midway on the pitch. Effectively, only six runs are awarded and the first batsman completes 100.

Ball 2: Batsman B hits six. Match won.

Scenario 4:

Opposite of 3 cheeky

@ Shrikant,  I am quite sure that one of the two scenarios that you are mentioning is different from what I mentioned. So, share what's playing in your mind.

why so hurry frnds

Assuming that match will be for 49.1 overs only

1st bal no run

2nd bal sixer

last bal sixer from other bowler..
