15 months compulsory training in CS course

Dear Sirs,

I have cleared my execuitve programme by June 2010 session and registered for professional programme. I learnt that practical training of 15 months is compulsory. I have been working in a state Government Department since May, 1988 ( First 7 years as a Clerk, 12+ years as Superintendent and since April 2008 as Gazetted Manager). I have handled issues like administation , accounts, budget etc. during my service. I thought there is a provision of exemption from undergoing the 15 months practical training. If it is so, kindly let me know. Otherwise, kindly advise how can i proceed ahead .

with regards

Dear Sirs,

As per the information provided to me by your kind-selves, I contacted the Institute and the Institute is very kind enough by providing me the clarifications on my problem. The clarification is as under.

"Exemptioln is granted on the basis of working experience as prescribed in The Company Secretaries Regualtions,1982, as amended after passing the final  exam ination of the Institute and on submission the relevant documents in this for exam ination at our end.  You may go through the requirement of The Company Secretaries Regualtions,1982, as amended on www.icsi.edu click member then click CS Regulations, on your left and go through the requirement of experience in Chapter VII".

I sincerely thank all of you, who have taken personal care of my problem.

with kind regards.

Krupanidhi.
