मकान मरम्मत के दौरान इनकम टैक्स मे छूट

He already owns home under housing loan claiming interest deduction. The house is under repairing and temporarily he shifted to another house on rent. So that rent for 1-2 months he wants to claim as deduction. I replied no deduction of that rent is available. Not even under 80GG. Your views please.

As per proviso under Sec 80GG , condition is that he or his spouse or minor child should not own a  residential accommodation where he ordinarily resides , performs duties of Office, or carries Business or Profession .

Hence if both the places are different there is a chance to claim the rent paid.
