Hello Expert, I have below mentioned queries -- A dealer registered himself in 2012 under MVAT Act when he started manufacturing business. He received the registration certificate also. He did manufacturing business in 2012-13.But from 2013-14 he stopped the manufacturing business and started doing works contracts business under construction which he continued in the same VAT no. till date. He also changed the place of business in Jan 2015. Questions: 1.How to intimate VAT authority about the change of nature of business and change of business place after so many years? 2.Can VAT authority consider the amendments in RC w.e.f.2013 if application is made now? 3.What would be the correct approach to resolve this isssue?

Sir, Following is the exact scenerio, Please clarify it:- STATUS: NRI & All income relate to India. Short Term Capital Gain (STT): Rs. 121184/- FDR Interest: Rs. 104561/- Total Income: Rs. 225745/- But Tax is being generated @ 15% on STCG (i.e. Rs. 18723/-) inspite of Total Income being less than Exemption Limit. Please Clarify can NRI adjust the exemption Limit against STCG covered under section 111A or not?
