The due date for GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C has been extended to the 31st of December keeping in mind the complexities that were being faced by the taxpayers. The due date for Annual Return has been extended multiple times due to the issues being faced by the Tax Practitioner and Consultants. Now the government has finally decided to simplify the forms by taking nation-wide feedback on the New Return System to be enacted from April 2020.
