MCA notification issued notifying J&K and Ladakh as union territory

Notification dt 30.10.2019-Jurisdiction of RD, New Delhi -UT of JK and UT of Ladakh

New Delhi, the 30th October, 2019

S.O._ In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 396 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, published vide number G.S.R 832(E), dated the 3rd November 2015, in the said notification, against serial number (l), in column (2), for the entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:-

"States of Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Union territories of Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and National Capital the territory of Delhi.".

2. This notification shall come into force with effect from 31st October. 2O19.

S.O. (E)._ In exercise of the powers conferred by section 454 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013) read with the Companies (Adjudication of Penalties) Rules, 2014, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, published vide number S.0.831 (E), dated the 24th March, 2015, namely:-In the said notification, in the Table, against serial number 5 for the entries, the following entries shall be substituted, namely,-

2. This notification shall come into force with effect from 31st October, 2019.

S.O. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 396 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Registrar of Companies shall have jurisdiction in respect of Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union territory of Ladakh, for the purpose of registration of companies and discharging the functions under the aforesaid Act.

2. This notification shall come into force with effect from 31st October, 2019.
