The 'Drishti' Framework is the vision unveiled by ICAI President CA. Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal for the year 2024-25, focusing on advancements in Digitalization, Research, Integrity, Skills, Handholding, Transparency, and Independence.
ICAI is forming a committee on 'AI in ICAI' to explore artificial intelligence for professional development and is providing digitised and recorded tools for students across the country. They are also focusing on green finance and sustainability reporting.
The President believes the CA profession, built on ethics, integrity, and independence, will be a cornerstone in propelling India towards becoming an economic powerhouse by 2047.
ICAI has launched a new Scheme of Education and Training which has attracted a record number of registrations. They also reported over 9,000 placements for newly qualified Chartered Accountants in 2023-24 with an average salary of Rs. 12.5 lac per annum.
ICAI is providing comments and inputs to the government on trade in services negotiations with FTA partners like the UK, Canada, and Australia, and plans to expand its global presence to create opportunities for Indian CAs abroad and attract foreign investment.
This is a new initiative where ICAI members will mentor students for their professional development, promoting social responsibility within the institution.
