The new financial awareness campaign is called "आपकी पूँजी, आपका अधिकार" which translates to "Your Capital, Your Right".
As of August 2025, over Rs 75,000 crore of unclaimed deposits have been transferred to the RBI's Depositor Education and Awareness Fund. Other unclaimed assets include insurance proceeds, mutual fund balances, and unpaid dividends.
The campaign is guided by the "3 A's Strategy": Awareness, Accessibility, and Action. This means informing citizens, providing easy access to tools, and ensuring timely claim settlements.
The campaign was launched in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and will be conducted across all States and Union Territories from October to December 2025.
Citizens will be assisted through digital demonstrations and helpdesks set up to help them trace and claim their unclaimed financial assets.
The campaign is coordinated by the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with various financial regulators and institutions.
