The Income Tax Department has released the Excel utilities for ITR-1 and ITR-4, enabling taxpayers to start filing for AY 2025-26.
The Excel utilities for ITR-1 (Sahaj) and ITR-4 (Sugam) have been released.
ITR-1 is for individuals with a total income up to Rs 50 lakh.
ITR-1 covers income from Salaries, one house property, other sources (like interest), long-term capital gains up to Rs 1.25 lakh, and agricultural income up to Rs 5,000.
ITR-4 is for individuals, HUFs, and firms (excluding LLPs) with a total income up to Rs 50 lakh, and income from business and profession computed under sections 44AD, 44ADA, or 44AE.
The first version of the utilities for both ITR-1 and ITR-4 were released on 30th May 2025.
