Certified Facilitation Centre under ACES Scheme of CBEC


Cost Accountants in whole time practice for a period of not less than one year and who meet the eligibility criteria prescribed under MoU signed by ICWAI and CBEC for ACES-CFC Scheme may now apply on-line for Certified Facilitation Centre

 

 

The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India has entered into an MOU with Central Board of Excise & Customs (CBEC) which enables Cost Accountants in whole-time practice to set up Automation of Central Excise and Service Tax (ACES) Certified Facilitation Centres (CFCs) and offer various services such as digitization of paper documents and on-line filing/ uploading of documents such as Application for Registration, filing of returns, refunds, accounting, disputes resolution, audit, provisional assessment, exports, claims, intimations and permission to assessees. The MOU is available at the website of the Institute http://www.icwai.org, and CBEC-ACES Project website: http://www.aces.gov.in/WhatsNew.htm . This initiative aims at providing services to taxpayers who may not have requisite IT infrastructure/resources, to use ACES. The services would be available on payment of prescribed services charges as agreed with CBEC. Interested members may also refer to “Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)”available on the Institute‘s website for resolving their queries. The ACES Project will not only reduce physical interface and save time both for the department and the assessees, but also facilitate online tracking of the status of the selected documents, online viewing and internal messaging.

 

Cost Accountants in whole-time practice may act as Certified Facilitation Centres (CFC) under the ACES Scheme of CBEC if he/she fulfills the terms and conditions of ACES Scheme and after approval of ICWAI. For approval to act as CFC, a Cost Accountant in whole-time practice is required to apply on-line in the prescribed application form available on Institute's Website: www.icwai.org. After filling up the application form on-line at Institute's website, the concerned cost accountant is required to take the print out of the application, sign each page of application form, attach self certified copy of PAN Card, self certified copy of Certificate of Practice (CoP) and Demand Draft or Cheque (only Delhi local clearing cheque is acceptable) favouring “The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India” payable at New Delhi and send the documents to the Delhi Office at the following address:

All the information contained in the applications received by the Institute shall be verified before recommending the name to CBEC for issue of User Id and Password. On receipt of intimation from CBEC for sending the User Id and Password directly to the concerned cost accountant, the Institute will issue Certificate to act as Certified Facilitation Centre under ACES Scheme by e-mail. The status of Application can be checked by Clicking Here  by entering Membership number and Date of Birth of the Applicant on daily basis. The status will be updated only after receipt of application at Delhi along with required documents and fee.
