The CBIC has launched a dedicated online portal for all LOC requests, replacing the previous manual process involving letters and emails.
The online LOC portal has been operational since 1st March 2024.
All field formations under the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI), CGST, and Customs zones are required to use the portal.
Field formations need to coordinate with designated nodal officers for portal access. Contact details for these nodal officers are provided for DRI, DGGI, CGST, and Customs formations.
The portal aims to enhance efficiency, transparency, and timely processing of LOCs, aligning with the government's digitisation efforts in customs and taxation.
Any operational difficulties should be reported through the respective nodal officers to the CBIC.
