The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has processed a significant number of income tax refunds. Between 1st April and 24th May 2021, over 15.45 lakh taxpayers received refunds totalling more than £25,301 crore. This includes £7,494 crore in income tax refunds for individuals and £17,807 crore in corporate tax refunds.
The Income Tax Department, via their official Twitter handle, has released the figures of Income Tax Refunds made between 1st April 2021 and 24th May 2021. Know the amount of total refund and its bifurcation below:
