CA Foundation students can upload attested XIIth Mark Sheet in cases of non-receipt of original copy from CBSE

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has issued an announcement for CA Foundation students who are yet to receive their original Class 12th mark sheets. To resolve registration issues, students can now upload an attested copy of their mark sheet. This attested copy can be obtained either from the Principal of their school or from a Chartered Accountant who is a member of the ICAI.

The Insititute of Chartered Accountants of India released an announcement to resolve the doubts of the students who are registering for the CA Foundation Exam and have still not received their original class 12th mark sheet because of the ongoing pandemic. The Institute asked students to upload an attested copy of the mark sheet in such a case. Here is the official announcement of the Institute:

ANNOUNCEMENT

Sub: Uploading of XIIth Mark Sheet for Confirmation of Foundation Registration

Students, who have provisionally registered for the Foundation Course, may please note that in case of non-receipt of Original Mark Sheet from CBSE/State Board/ Affiliated Board are required to do as under:

  • Class XII mark sheet (downloaded from the CBSE/State Board website) to be duly attested from the Principal of your School having name, signature of the Principal and Stamp of the School superimposed on it. OR
  • Class XII mark sheet (downloaded from the CBSE/State Board website) to be duly attested from a Chartered Accountant who is a member of the ICAI having name, signature of the Member along with his Membership number and his Stamp superimposed on it.

FAQ :

Students can upload an attested Class XII mark sheet if they have not yet received their original copy from the CBSE or other affiliated boards, often due to pandemic-related delays.

The downloaded Class XII mark sheet can be attested by the Principal of your school or by a Chartered Accountant who is a member of the ICAI.

When attested by a school principal, the mark sheet must include the Principal's name, signature, and the school's stamp superimposed on it.

A Chartered Accountant attesting the mark sheet must include their name, signature, membership number, and their stamp superimposed on it.

This announcement was released by the ICAI on August 6th, 2020, to address the specific situation of students not receiving original mark sheets.
