GST collection for October 2021 registered the second highest since implementation of GST

The gross GST revenue collected in the month of October 2021 is Rs. 1,30,127 crore of which CGST is Rs. 23,861 crore, SGST is Rs. 30,421 crore, IGST is Rs. 67,361 crore and Cess is Rs. 8,484 crore.

ICAI opens Registration for Online Home-Based Practical Training Assessment

ICAI will be conducting the next practical training assessment from 20th to 23rd November 2021. As such, students who have completed their 1st/ 2nd year of practical training during July 1, 2020 - September 30, 2021, are eligible to appear in this test.

More than 2.25 crore ITRs for AY 2021-22 filed on Income Tax e-filing portal till 28th Oct 2021

Over 55% of these ITRs have been prepared using the online form available & filed on the new portal. More than 1.95 crore ITRs for AY 2021-22 have been e-verified till 28th October 2021. Out of this, 86% were verified using Aadhaar OTP.

MCA extends the last date for filing of Cost Audit Report to 30th November 2021

ICAI advises to file Form NFRA-2 Annual Return for 2018-2019 and for the year ending 31st March 2020

It has been reported by NFRA that at least 1011 auditors/audit firms have not yet filed form NFRA-2 for the reporting period 2018-19. As such, ICAI has advised to file the same.

GoI releases Rs 44,000 crores to States and UTs in-lieu of GST compensation

After taking into account earlier release of Rs. 1,15,000 crore, total amount released in the current financial year as back-to-back loan in-lieu of GST compensation is Rs. 1,59,000 crore.
