The MoU aims to facilitate the export of accounting services to Qatar and explore professional and business opportunities for ICAI members through collaborative initiatives.
The MoU was signed by CA Nihar N Jambusaria, President of ICAI, and Mr. Yousuf Mohamed Al-Jaida, Chief Executive Officer of QFC.
The agreement covers opportunities in assurance and auditing, advisory, taxation, financial services, and other allied areas.
Both organisations will extend support to Indian businesses looking to set up in Qatar through joint roundtables, networking events, and other exchange programmes.
The ICAI Doha Chapter, established in 1981 and registered under QFC, was instrumental in finalizing the MoU.
Collaborations include developing local Qatari professionals, exploring study exchange programmes, and sharing information on corporate governance, technical research, quality assurance, forensic accounting, and Islamic Finance.
