I want to know when an assessee dies and proprietorship bus is taken by his wife, and we are filing two return for the period from begining of FY to the death of assessee and from the date of assets & liabilities taken over by his wife to closing of F.Y what will be the treatment of income gained for the period begining of FY to the death of assessee. Where it will be taxable?

when the assess dies , the return are filling by the legal heirs if property are taken by them or is the executor appointed then executor will file the return
ASSUMING THAT AS PER WILL OF THE ASSESEE THE BUS IS INHERITED BY WIFE AFTER DEATH................................INCOME UPTO DEATH WILL BE ASSESSED IN THE HANDS OF T THE DECEASED AND THE RETURN WILL BE SIGNED BY LEGAL REPRESENTATIVE
THERAFTER IT WILL BE ASSESSED IN THE HAND OF WIFE
