(Guest)

Whatever you guys sais about IAS but its the most elite and premium servies. No other services are comparable to it.I agree that CA is a course of 5 years and it needs a lot of hardwork but for IAS you need atleast bachelors and these guys who get selected in it are Masters or phd holders or B.tech and M.tech.So,they have done their little bit of hardwork already.

we cant compare ca and ias . because ias is a result from recruiting exam conducted by upsc on yearly basis where graduates . post graduates... phds... and other technical giants from iit. .. iim...aiims compete for prestigious group A services of central govt. .. the recriutment exam itself takes an year to complete. only best brains will be selected where syllabus is very very vast than ca course . to get ias u need to among 100 best in whole india. . its very very difficult than becoming an ca. . . its a competitive exam having three stages ie prelims mains and interview. all stages should be succeeded in same year else u need to take from prelims onwards next year.. only given 4 chances for gen candidates so to conclude we can say that to become an ca . only bookish knowledge is needed. and in ca there is no competition only need to pass. when comparing ca and ias . . ias is much higher level

IAS of course because it's a 3 stages exam constitutes prelims mains and interview....an aspirant who wants to clear this exam must qualify all these 3 stages in a row.....one will not qualify if he/she rejected in any of the stages.....and who fails in any of the stages must start appearing from starting prelims again.... & it was also mentioned that UPSC is Indias toughest exam of all time

IAS is much tougher than not only CA but also than many other tougher exams like IIT in India. CA is just a degree course in which you should hold a range of information. But IAS requires holding of huge range of information, knowledge of all fields like science, commerce, finance, management, administration, governance, constitution, political science, international relations, ethics, etc upto 18 subjects with static and dynamic section. Even mastering on these subjects there is only 50 % chances of getting through the examination. Because the next phase is to attain the wisdom covering all these knowledge under the sun. Even then students have only 75 % chances of getting through this exam because we are required to develop an attitude, neutral or rational judgement and a positive mindset so that we can perform administration over lacks of people comprises tax payers, businessmen doctors, engineers, CAs, CSs, entire police department, SDMs, Entire local self government at village, block and district level, representing India at International level like in World bank, IMF, SAARC, United Nations. After completing these rounds of learning a student only has 90% chance to go through it Bcz its a competitive exam. But at the end our success does not depends on toughness of examination but it depends on how well we are applying our knowledge for the development of our nation, society and humanity as a whole. So, at last CA and IAS both have equal chances to achieve greater heights of success. I envisage-  Once, CA become an IAS than both IAS and CA being a single person can contribute more and can succeed more for the development of India and himself as well in tandem.

After clearing IAS u posted under governtment and fixed salary recieved, Whereas after passing CA Final exam if u do not get placement u will suffer a lot and u will struggle.

IAS is a test exam whereas CA is dfficult course which include 5 to 7 year who got failed once or twice. and may be more, so TIME is very important.

IAS is nothing just Centre government employee over the state government,  to maintain its power among state government.

dear who said it will take 5 year, who failed once or twice or more time, they will take 7-8 year or more , but that not relevant because time is important , that why a student leave CA course.

It take 5 year is Pyscho about CA Course, it is course but exams and time are both tougher and tougher. I student obtained 90 % in graduation and +2 , but i have spend 6.5 year , still hanged in CA final.

Everything is UNCERTAIN IN CA .

Dear u are not aware of CA exam structure , 3 % result of final exam of CA declared by ICAI.every year.  CA exam held also in 3 different stages understood.  I scored 90 % in +2 and 87% in graduation , But still 6.5 years passed but not able to crack CA  final exam.

It is not a course but uncertaintiy and risk at every step.

There are various passing condition , Here also limited CA are passed every year around 3 % all india. understood.

IAS is not omparable to CA. after becaming CA we have to study life time also. and clear various exams. After IAS what u do only corrpution to public.

I don't think a fair comparison can be drawn between the courses as both the courses are quite different from each other. The structure of the courses, the syllabus are quite different from one another.

it is very debatable and preferential matter,

as you analyse on behalf of study content CA has a good and qualitative content to study.

if you analyse on behalf viva and publice speaking CA can not easily face this situation as all knows.

But as all knows CA has different place in private sector they are on boom and IAS & IPS have different place as they are superior in their jobs

I think comparing CA with IAS is like comparing apples with oranges. Both of them are extremely different from each other. While a CA belongs mainly to the Finance Industry, an IAS is a public servant and is responsible for the social upliftment of the country. Both of these courses are highly regarded in their respective industries/fields and can co-exist without direct competition or comparison. In fact, we can focus on the similarities between these courses.

1. Both these courses have a minimum passing percentage

2. In both of these courses, the study never stops. While CA's have to be updated with the Finance Industry, IAS's have to be on the lookout for social constructs and social problems

Can you name more similarities between these courses?
