Quick Summary
If you have salary and commission income, the correct Income Tax Return (ITR) form depends on the nature and primary source of your earnings. If commission is a significant business income, ITR 3 or ITR 4 might be necessary. However, if your salary is the main income and commission is a smaller amount from referring customers, you may be able to declare it under 'Other Sources' and potentially file ITR 2 or even ITR 1.

How much commission income have you earned during the year..??
Itr 3..
If the commission income is not big, show it in other sources head and you need not file ITR 3.
Right

commission is rs 5 lakhs and salary is of 180000

From whom you received commission

Dear Saurabh,

In regards to your query, if salary income is the primary source of income then you can file ITR -1 where you can show commission income under the head of Other sources. But if commission is the primary source of income then this is considered as business income and ITR-3 or ITR 4 as per your turnover will be filed.

If your are not fine with the reply, kindly elaborate your question more in light of the above view.
