Dear All,
One of my friend filed his IT return for the year 2017-18 during last September 18. But he has not verified his return through OTP/ sending post due to abroad travel. Now he is applying loan, while verifying his IT return it's shows as the return as Invalid.
Is there is any alternate available for verify return again.( As the due date 31st March already expired).
Pls advise

As such no, unless you have any refund due. In that case condonation request can be filed u/s. 119(2b)
If the e-filing portal allows you to e-verify the return by submitting a reason for condonation of delay, then you can very well e-verify the return. For more help you can call at Bangalore CPC Center for the same.
E- VERIFY RETURN OR SING IT AND SEND TO BANGALORE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE , AFTER THE PROCESS YOU WILL REPLAY OF DELAY SEND RETURN.
THE RETURN WILL BE PROCESSED AFTER FEW MONTHS.
If bank loan is the only purpose, try explaining the omission to the bankers and show the proofs of income. They only need your return as a conclusive proof of income, and not bothered about your compliance. If other documentary evidences can be shown to support your position, I don't see any problem in getting the loan, unless the bankers are obsessed with protocols than the substance.
