What is the definition of attempts exactly?????

There is no such official definition but institute regard filing of an exam form as intention to appear in exam and thus making an attempt. In any case do not get into egoistical use of the term attempt. It does not matter whether you passed in first second or tenth, the more important thing is whether at the end of the day you can put CA as prefix to your name.

It shd b your first appearance ...

Attempts means how many times u appeared for particular level(appearance doesnt mean only physical one, if u filled the exam form i.e. got ur roll no. and skipped it then it will also be an attempt)

Even I had a similar problem... I wrote Grp 1 in Nov 10 passed it.. Wrote Grp 2 in May passed it... So in my resume should I write First attemt or Second Attempt.. Plz reply.. Whats the diff b/w First Attempt and Single Attemt??
