It is special exemption only to senior citizen. Senior citizens can claim interest exemption up to 50,000. It is applicable to both savings bank interest and deposit interest like FD and RD

senior citizen can avail the deduction u/s80TTB both saving & Fd intrest
80TTB is also for Post office SB FD interest
