What amount is to be taxed on tax on employment in form 16?

Please tell me what amount is to be tax on TAX ON EMPLOYMENT IN form 16.

As per article 276(2) of the constitution ,State Govt , municipality or other authority which is authorised under article 276(2) can impose professional tax on employment from a person maximum up to 2500/year

But i have found some where it was deducted as an amount RS 1946 and some where it is Rs 2648 why is this difference for.

So
My state is Assam and basic salary U/s17(1) is 1715450.

In Assam professional tax rate is 208 per month (on monthly salary 25000 and above)
