Yes,, you can.
yes u can bcoz exemption In each subject is separate from other result

Yes u can avail exemption in taxation. u can avail  only one exemption if u got exemption in different attempt in different paper.

If you have not appeared in law paper in may 16, u CANNOT CLAIM EXEMPTION in tax. For getting exemption one has to appear in all paper of that group.

Dear CA Aspirant,

Sry bt u are not right.

IF i have alreday got exemption in one paper then why should i apper in that exam.

Appearance in all paper is compulsory when there is no exemption in any papers in past attempts.

but as per ICAI suppose u got exemption inn LAW in Nov. 2015 and exemption in TAX in MAY 2016. then u can allow to carryforward only any one exemption of these two.

but u got exemption in TAX & LAW in single attemp. then u can carryforward both of them

Mr. Vinay if u don't appear in law ppr in may 16 you will not get exemption in tax ppr only there is no question to carry forward anyone exemption

Pls refer 3rd or last FAQ regrading exemption in CA ipcc & Final in the given link. & Mr. Vinay it's ok even I used think the same. But hope now it's clear.

Hi,

i agree with Vinay's view here...Sorry but these faqs seem personal inferences...kindly provide any offical article..

As long as exemption in one or more paper(s) of a group/unit, brought forward from an earlier attempt is subsisting, no further exemption in any other paper in that group/unit will be given, even if you secure 60% or more marks in any other paper in that group/unit. You will not be eligible for any further exemption in the remaining paper(s) of that group until you have exhausted the exemption already granted to you in that group.(icai faq)

Dear,

I have seen this kind of cases where my friends got exemption in one paper in one attemp and exemption in another paper in next attemp. in this case u have to select exemption in only one paper.

one of my friend got exemption in Accounts is CA Final 1st Group in May 2015 and exemption in LAW in Nov. 2015.

then in next attempt he select LAW as exempted paper.

So as my practical knowledge i am saying this.
