We (party from Mumbai) have hired some laptop from one of our vendor (Party from Mumbai) for 1 year. He has levied MVAT @ 12.5% on that. We want to know whether the same is correct.

Yes it is correct because in hire purchase basis vendor charge Vat or cst depand on state or interstate transition & u would deducted tds on total amount
