Vat input on materials purchased for factory building

Iam asking about factory building in that building only we are producing. Why dont we take input on that materials used for factory building. Is there any legal decision or issue please specify

As far as Karnataka is concerned, input tax on building matericals etc., are not eligible as these goods are specifically listed in Fifth Schedule to the KVAT Act as Input Tax Restricted goods...

it is not possible to get input credit of Any inputs used in construction or maintenance of any buildings including factory or office buildings, unless you are in the business of executing works contracts
