One of my client's end product is tax free(VAT). However he has input VAT credit he is unable to set off as his product is tax free.. Can he get refund of the input tax credit.. Pls help me out on this issue...

Yes he can if the state rules permit :-):)
No, Input tax paid for manufactureof output being exempt, is not eligible for credit, unless they are exported. I am sure the position is same across all the States.
Yes input credit is avaialble in Maharshtra subject to certain conditons. Call me for the same.
