 A company( works contractor)  has sold goods to a company in  sez in chennai.  These goods are furniture and interios covered under WCT. The company is claiming that it has made zero rate sale and claiming for a refunnd. Is the company correct in claiming the input tax credit

yes they can claim vat ..vat is refundable

uf SEZ issue exemption forms viz Form H then its refundable, otherwise its to be treated as  vat sales, depends on sez company, if they have shown the items purchased in capotal goods/ inputs or negetive list.
