As per the CA Regulations, a student is not allowed to take up any other additional course during the period of his articleship except with the permission of ICAI, which means ICAI is not bothered in case the students enrolls for any number of courses at the time of his course registration to CA. But ICAI is concerned only if any additional course is being pursued during the period of articleship. A student is supposed to take permission from ICAI by filling Form-112 duly certified by his Principal, Student and the Principal of the College concerned within 30 days of taking admission to the course.

Even a Bcom/Mcom/CS student should submit Form-112 to concerned Regional Office, if he takes up the course during the period of articleship. Only one course is allowed throughout the articles period at a time. Go through below link for more clarity. However, as per below link, it seems that there is no chance after 31-3-2010 to request for Condonation of Delay in submitting Form-112. If he takes up the courses without permission of ICAI, he may gets problem during the period of his enrollment to membership at the end. So it is better to take a call from e-sahaayata at this point of time, as no information is available w.r.t. whether ICAI will condone the delay for Form-112 submission after 01-04-2010.
