well Varun that is something worst you are doing. Audit is fun but for that you have to work with different clients. Ask your employer that he should give you variety of clients and that would help you to gain knowledge in audit. If he denies than PLEASE do change the firm.

Its every where like that, all firms will have internal audit, you can learn and gain knowledge ya its boring but its part of profession, you want become ca and want to learn means have to do...all the best

Audit is a machanical process unless you choose right way to carrying out. I somehow agreed that we get boared on getting same type of work every month that happen mainly in Internal Audit and Concurrent audit.

But thats the way it is!! Its upto you how would yu take it?? there is lot of scope in Internal Audit also. you can inspire from your Boss who i think, must have specialisation in IT. Better to discuss it with your immediate seniors too.

You shall ask for change into another dept. i.e. Tax , stat audit etc. else take transfer.

But i would like you to suggest you that try to do different area in internal audit it is very interesting if you can do different areas of same company or another company.

I am in interanl and risk management area during my whole articleship i.e. last 2 yrs and 10 months.

Dont leave internal audit if u r getting good exposure in that field but ofcource u should get 4-6 months knowledge in Stat audit.
