If there arise a situation where i have excess cenvat balance available even after utilizing it for the output duty/tax liability.
Can i claim that unutilized credit at any point of time ? or can i adjust it in future duty payments.
Or it will lapse automaticly after one year?

Yes within one year. You can adjust it in future duty paments.There is one year time limit for refun claim.
