Quick Summary
If you've filed your Income Tax Return (ITR) under section 119(2)(b) for delayed filing and the portal shows 'Transfer to AO', it means your returns are being sent for assessment. Crucially, your ITR will only be processed if the delay is condoned by the jurisdictional CIT. It's essential to file a condonation petition before the CIT to avoid your return being deemed invalid.
ITR will be processed only after the delay in filing is condoned by jurisdictional CIT. so file condonation petition under section 119(2)(b) before jurisdictional CIT
The portal remark - "Transfer to AO" means ITRs have been transferred to AO for assessment purpose. Meaning it's not in summary assessment and AO will be processing your returns.
As you have not taken approval from cit for delay condonation and u urself filed return u/s 119(2)((b) the cpc transferred itr to ao and ao haven t any condonation order he will simply make is invalid return and your returns will be never peocessed.
