We are unable to file GSTR-1 of July as there was 946 transactions. Now the data is uploaded & GSTR-1 return is not accepting by the portal. Now as per our consultant, we can file the return on 21-10-2017, is it true? what will be the penalty for the same, though this was not our fault. kindly guide

THERE IS NO EXTENSION FOR FILING GSTR1.. LAST DATE WAS 10TH OCTOBER
The late fee for delay in submission of any form
filing is Rs.100 for CGST and Rs.100
for SGST per day ( not more than Rs. 5,000).

When could we file the return after paying the fine or what?
After reconciliation Gstr1 with Gstr2, you could file the GSTR1. Due date to file GSTR 2 on 31.10.2017 . Then you will connect to file belated GSTR 1 for the month of JULY 17.
then how buyer will get the ITC of the invoices, as GSTR 1 is not filed

There is no possibility to be late fee. The council has decided to levy annual late fee of 18% on the late payment of taxes.
Can we file delayed GSTR 1 today? The portal does not allow to file it and pops an error:

Same happened with us. After complete process of filing GSTR2 i.e. after 30-11-17, I think GSTR1 uploading will start.
